Religious Workforce Protection Act
This bill allows the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to extend the nonimmigrant visa status of certain religious workers.
Under current law, if specified conditions are met, nonimmigrant religious workers may receive a visa for a period not to exceed five years. The bill allows DHS to grant an extension until the individual’s application for adjustment of status to permanent resident or an immigrant visa has been processed and a decision has been made. To be eligible for the extension, the individual must be (1) the beneficiary of a certain type of immigrant petition, and (2) eligible for such immigrant status absent the application of certain numerical limitations.
Such individuals who have pending adjustment of status applications are also granted certain job flexibilities, such as the ability to change employers. Individuals who have previously departed the U.S. due to the expiration of their visa are exempt from the one-year foreign residence requirement to renew their visa.

Stephanie Tubbs Jones Uterine Fibroid Research and Education Act of 2025
This bill directs the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to expand research on, and take other actions to address, uterine fibroids. These are muscular tumors that grow in the wall of the uterus and may cause pain, heavy menstrual bleeding, and reproductive issues.
In coordination with the National Institutes of Health and appropriate federal agencies, HHS must undertake research activities on uterine fibroids.
In addition, HHS must establish a database of services furnished to individuals diagnosed with uterine fibroids under Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program and must develop a report on federal and state expenditures for such services.
Additionally, HHS must disseminate information on uterine fibroids to the public and to health care providers, including information on the elevated risk for minority women and available treatments.

Mental Health in Aviation Act of 2025
This bill requires the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to review and update its regulations and policies on mental health for pilots and air traffic controllers.
The FAA must update regulations and take any other actions necessary to implement the recommendations of (1) the Aviation Workforce Mental Health Task Group, and (2) the Mental Health and Aviation Medical Clearances Aviation Rulemaking Committee (the ARC).
The FAA must also annually review and update, as appropriate, the applicable regulations and policies on mental health-related special issuance for pilots and air traffic controllers. As background, an Authorization for Special Issuance of a Medical Certificate is a discretionary document from the FAA which allows an airman with a disqualifying medical condition to fly under a restricted medical certificate.
Among other things, the review and update must
• reclassify and approve additional medications that may be safely prescribed to airmen to treat mental health conditions,
• delegate additional authority to aviation medical examiners (AMEs) consistent with the ARC recommendations, and
• improve the special issuance process for pilots and air traffic controllers.
The bill authorizes the FAA to take actions to recruit and train additional AMEs.
The bill also authorizes an FAA public information campaign or education efforts to (1) destigmatize individuals in (or interested in joining) the aviation industry who seek mental health care, (2) broaden awareness of available supportive services, and (3) establish trust with pilots and air traffic controllers.

AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act of 2025
This bill requires the Department of Transportation (DOT) to issue a rule requiring AM radio capabilities to be standard in all new passenger vehicles. (AM radio is often used to deliver emergency alerts and news and entertainment programming; some newer vehicles do not include AM equipment.)
Specifically, this bill applies to passenger vehicles (1) manufactured in the United States for sale in the United States, imported into the United States, or shipped in interstate commerce; and (2) manufactured after the rule's effective date. The rule must require all such vehicles to have devices that can receive signals and play content transmitted by AM stations or digital audio AM stations installed as standard equipment and made easily accessible to drivers.
Prior to the rule's effective date, manufacturers that do not include devices that can access AM radio as standard equipment (1) must inform purchasers of this fact through clear and conspicuous labeling, and (2) may not charge an additional or separate fee for AM radio access.
DOT may assess civil penalties for any violation of the rule. The Department of Justice may also bring a civil action to enjoin a violation.
The rule, including DOT’s authority to enforce it, must expire 10 years after the bill’s enactment.
Further, the Government Accountability Office must study and report on the dissemination of emergency alerts to the public, including by conducting an assessment of AM radio relative to other Integrated Public Alert and Warning System communication technologies.

Tribal Access to Clean Water Act of 2025
This bill expands access to water resources for Indian tribes and Native Hawaiian communities.
Under a current program, the Department of Agriculture (USDA) makes loans and grants to provide water and waste disposal facilities and services to low-income rural areas whose residents are facing significant health risks. This bill expands eligibility for the program to include Native Hawaiian organizations. Additionally, these loans and grants may be used to provide water or waste services to residents on tribal lands.
The bill authorizes USDA to make additional loans and grants under existing programs to tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations to develop, use, and control water. The bill also allows USDA to support technical assistance for tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations.
Additionally, the bill allows the Indian Health Service to (1) provide and maintain essential sanitation facilities for noncommercial community structures (e.g., schools, hospitals, and tribal offices), (2) provide technical assistance, and (3) provide financial assistance to operate and maintain drinking water and sanitation facilities serving tribes that are owned and operated by a tribe.
The bill also increases the authorization of appropriations for the Bureau of Reclamation's Native American Affairs Technical Assistance Program through FY2030.

Food Chemical Reassessment Act of 2025
This bill requires the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regularly reassess the safety of certain substances used in food and food packaging.
Specifically, the FDA must select at least 10 substances or classes of substances for reassessment at least every three years. The FDA must select from color additives, food additives, substances generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use in food, and other specified classes of substances. The FDA must prioritize substances for reassessment by public health need. The bill specifies certain substances that the FDA may select as the first to be reassessed, including titanium dioxide, sodium nitrite, and certain food dyes.
These reassessments must be conducted by the FDA’s Office of Food Chemical Safety, Dietary Supplements, and Innovation.
The FDA must provide public notice of its determination for each reassessed substance. Generally, if the FDA has issued a regulation or other order approving the use of a substance in food or food packaging, it must amend or repeal that regulation or order if it determines on reassessment that the substance is not safe. Any determination with respect to a GRAS substance must be published on the FDA’s website, and a determination that a GRAS substance is safe must include conditions of safe use.
Finally, the FDA must reestablish the Food Advisory Committee to provide advice on standards and processes for these reassessments.
